Getlinked

Overview

Getlinked is a matching product for talent and employers. My work sat on making the two paths, get hired and hire, readable as separate jobs, not one dashboard pretending to serve both.

The problem

Hiring and job search both fail in the same way: too much noise, too little signal. Employers cannot scan a pile of profiles quickly, and candidates cannot tell which openings actually fit.

Approach

Getlinked is a two-sided product: talent builds a profile and looks at openings; hiring managers search, review documents, and reach out. The work was to make that loop obvious instead of burying it in a generic jobs board.

Results

The live app covers profile creation, job posts, search, and the hire / get-hired split, with a public site explaining the matching pitch.

What I learned

Two-sided marketplaces collapse when one side's first session is unclear. Recruiters and candidates do not share a mental model, so the UI has to name which side you are on immediately.

What I would do differently

I would cut duplicate marketing copy and make the first action after signup unmistakable: complete a profile, or post a role; not both at once.
